When it comes to business travel, whether it's a day trip or a week on the road, the "right stuff" can make the difference between comfortable productivity and being uncomfortable and unproductive. The "right stuff" is often interpreted as the necessary power and network doodads for your notebook and your cell phone. But it can also mean luggage that lets you travel without checking baggage, clothes that pack well and remain wrinkle free or even accessories that protect and save your important documents.

So where do you find good travel gear? Here are some great travel sites worth checking out.

Travel Smith: For travel apparel, luggage and accessories, look no further than Travel Smith. With a top-notch 1-800 help line, frequent sales and return policies, it's a good bet for your travel needs.

Magellan's: At Magellan's you'll find more great gear and lots of useful accessories, including international electronics.

REI: REI calls itself a store for "muscle powered outdoor recreation," but it also has great items for travelers and people on the go.

L.L. Bean and Lands' End: Both web sites have excellent lines of business-casual travel gear, great cold weather coats, nifty luggage... and good sales!

Cabelas's: Cabela's is primarily an outfitter for fishing, archery, hunting, camping and boating, but they've also got some nice travel-appropriate casual clothing and accessories.

Targus: Targus not only has mobile notebook and phone products, but it also carries tech-oriented luggage. Their rolling laptop backpack is perfect for travel.

APC: APC has a number of useful notebook and mobility products, including UPB external notebook batteries and USB charging ports.

Some other web sites worth mentioning are:

If you know what you want and are simply price-shopping, you can try Amazon.com, SlickDeals.Net, Staples.com or other sites.

The big challenge is to identify the best "right stuff" to tote along on your travels and what to leave behind.
