Previously, visitors to Singapore, or even those just passing through, have been able to get a Wi-Fi connection at Singapore's Changi Airport, but coverage was limited to two out of its four terminals.

Today, there's no need for scrambling across the airport to find a way to send emails or check directions to the hotel—you can even stay connected while waiting at baggage claim.

The increased coverage is part of an effort from StarHub, a broadband provider that has a wireless roaming agreement with iPass. In other words, any friend of iPass is a friend of StarHub, and it's a good pal to have: The company has been awarded a contract to keep expanding and operating the wireless broadband network at Changi Airport for at least another five years.

In addition to expanding coverage into the other two terminals, StarHub has also enhanced service by using Wireless@SG, a broadband program that's part of Singapore's forward-thinking information infrastructure, and gives users broadband access at most public areas.

Broader access and speedy connections mean that travelers can get work done, find Singapore maps or simply type an "I'm here!" message to associates or family before exploring the airport's numerous shops and eateries.

And with all that ease of connectivity, you may find yourself in search of a little computer break—there are plenty of lounge areas and open spaces to catch your breath or some sleep.
